This very special fine art laser-cut design celebrates THE PRIESTLY BLESSING and the SON'S BLESSING.

What is the Priestly Blessing? In the Torah (Numbers 6:24-26), G-d commanded that through the priests’ raised hands His blessing will flow to the people of Israel. It is a blessing thousand of years old and I have included three short verses around the border of this piece.

    The text says:
In Hebrew: "יברכך הי וישמרך יאר הי פניו אליך ויחנך ישא הי פניו אליך וישם לך שלום" *

Phonetic Pronunciation: Yivarechecha Adonai viyishmirecha Ya'er panav elecha veechuneka Yeesa Adonai panav elecha viyasem lecha shalom

English translation: "May Hashem [The Lord] bless you and guard you. May Hashem shine His countenance upon you and be gracious to you. May Hashem turn His countenance toward you and grant you peace.' (Numbers 6:24-26).

In the CENTER, I have designed a popular Shabbat blessing that asks that “G-d make you like Efraim and Menashe”. These two sons were observed by their grandfather Jacob to be especially upstanding young men, faithful to the morals and ideals that were embraced by Jacob, as they were conveyed through their father, Joseph – all in a time in society where people were not particularly of high character and which could have broken them and tempted them to sin, but they never let it.

    This is the center text:
    In Hebrew: יְשִׂימְךָ אֶלוֹהִים כְּאֶפְרַיִם וְכִמְנַשֶׁה
Phonetic Pronunciation: Yesimcha Elohim K'Efrayim Ve'chimenashe
English translation: May G-d make you like Efraim and Menashe
